During Youth Action Day in partnership with TACCEI (Tanzania Conservation and Community Empowerment Initiative), we actively participated in a workshop held in Arusha that brought together young leaders from across Tanzania for the Youth Consultation on Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), and Youth Engagement in Climate Adaptation
The event fostered meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and shared learning, empowering youth to shape key priorities for a climate-resilient Tanzania.
A keynote address from the Vice President’s Office (VPO) and Dr. Anna Mahulu reaffirmed the nation’s steadfast commitment to climate action and highlighted the crucial role of young people in advancing adaptation and sustainability efforts.
Through interactive working groups and dynamic plenary sessions, participants generated valuable insights, actionable strategies, and forward-looking recommendations for NDC implementation.
Together, these collective efforts are building a generation of empowered young leaders dedicated to advancing Tanzania’s journey toward a greener, more sustainable, and climate-resilient future
