Restoration and Rehabilitation

We work to restore and rehabilitate degraded and human-modified landscapes, including post-mining and post-extraction sites. Through applied monitoring and learning, we support evidence-based rehabilitation, assess trade-offs, and document both successes and limitations in restoration and recovery processes. Within these degraded landscapes, we prioritize the restoration of critical habitats—areas that are essential for species survival, ecosystem functioning, and community well-being.

Our restoration and rehabilitation work includes

• Reforestation & native vegetation recovery
Planting native species and restoring forested areas to enhance biodiversity and improve ecosystem services such as water regulation and soil stabilization
• Wetland & Aquatic habitat enhancement
Revitalizing wetlands, lakes, and rivers to improve water quality, support aquatic species, and create critical habitats for fish, birds, and other wildlife
• Species-specific habitat restoration and enhancement
Restoring habitats for specific species, particularly those that are endangered or critically threatened, to ensure their survival and promote population recovery.
• Soil stabilization and erosion control
Implementing practices to combat soil erosion and desertification, ensuring the long-term sustainability of both land and water resources
